Summer School Activities
Summer School Activities at Hurst
We know from 50+ years that activity is an essential part of how our students learn English, have fun and make new friends.
Our Summer School based near Brighton attracts international students from over 20 countries and this multi-lingual environment means that the common language used to communicate is English!
All activities are programmed and supervised by our dedicated team of activity leaders. The team provides activities that satisfy a variety of student needs. The Hurst College campus has an exciting range of facilities that cater for interests in sport, art and performance. Students can choose what they want to do each session. Below are some examples of past sessions.
From 2019 our oldest students, known as ‘Super Seniors’ (aged 15 and over) have a few opportunities a week to enjoy extra liberties later at night, with exclusive entertainment just for their age group. Meanwhile, starting this year, our youngest children, our ‘Junior Learners’ will have more of their own specially organised activities to enjoy safely.

Continual learning
Our rich programme of Summer School activities are designed to encourage every student to learn new skills and develop existing skills, grow in confidence and have opportunities to showcase their talents and celebrate their achievements.
All activities are optional for older children, but students are encouraged to take part and we will do our best to support each student in finding activities that they are interested in. All students must register their name and activity choice before each session begins.
